You’ve created your first page or post and you’d like to do more than have a bunch of text on your page. Here is an intro to the WordPress editing bar. When you look at the tool bar, you may have one line of tools or two.
The Editing Bar
If you only see one line of tools there is a quick way to open the second row toolbar. Click the Toggle Toolbar button:
You can click this toggle button to close the second row of the toolbar, too.
The Top Row
Also in the first row tool bar are the Bold, Italic, Strikethough, Unordered (Bulleted) and Ordered (Numbered) Lists, Text Alignment for Left, Center and Right Alignment, adding a Link or Breaking a Link and Spell Check.
The Second Row
In the second row you’ll find Paragraphs (and Headings inside the dropdown menu), Underline, Justify, Text Color, Paste as Text, Clear Formatting, Special Characters, Indent (Decrease and Increase), Undo/Redo and Keyboard Shortcuts.
If you are just starting out with WordPress and discovered this post, I hope you’ll find it helpful.
